Sick Death Fiend wins

Definitely. The others don't even come close. I couldn't even understand what the hell TOMMY's as about and I doubt he did either. Livecorpse's just sucked up and down. Tracing porno and making tired jokes about Mario getting laid is reeeal funny, oh, and so is AIDS. yuk yuk yuk. It looks like eric black has some skills but 2 hours? C'mon, man, this is a contest.

The grades I gave on this movie were for Sick Death Fiend and not for the others.

T0MMY responds:

Actually, no, it's not a contest. It's a challenge. Eric's challenge was 2 hours and it's awesome for what he pulled together in that time.
But we gave SickDeathFiend a cookie for you declaring him the winner.

very very well done

I truly liked this piece. I have already considered many of the points mentioned in your movie, but never in such length and so eloquently as well. I mostly enjoyed however, how you kept a strong message of hope in this movie, unlike the dreary, suicidal would-be philosoph animators who make 'life-sucks-then-you-die' messaged pieces of shit. Anyway I really liked "R" and I hope to see more of this quality from Newgrounds in the future. Also the Ridley part was cool.

Da-Dinictus responds:

Yeah, thank Rynn for his design. She helped greatly. Thank you for your review. I was hoping to convey an enticement to think of matters, not only on 'the bright side' but also on 'the dark side', so to speak. It's not only black & white we are talking of. Again, thank you for your review. Happy Clock Day.

YES! YES! YES!

I loove Evil Dead too! Bruce Campbell is the man, hands down. I read his whole auto biography, If Chins Could Kill. It rules. If you haven't read it, read it and your series will write itself. Ok, but some stuff you HAVE TO INCLUDE are:

Sam Raimi's 1973 Oldsmobile Delta Royale a.k.a. "The Classic." It's in every one of his movies including all three EDs and Spider-man.

three stooges style stuff. Please don't make it too scary and gory. Evil Dead was as funny as it was scary, remember?

At one point have Ash look right at the camera in an extreme close-up and say "Workshed!!!" without moving his lips. This happened in Evil Dead II as a very badly done edit.

In the Wes Craven film, The Hills Have Eyes, he had a torn poster of Jaws on the wall in one scene, as if to say that Jaws was nothing compared to this movie. Not to be outdone, Sam Raimi put a torn poster of The Hills Have Eyes on the basement wall in Evil Dead. Later in Wes Craven's Nightmare on Elm Street, when Nancy was trying to stay up late she was watching Evil Dead on TV. So, Raimi put a torn poster of Nightmare on Elm Street in Evil Dead II. So you should put a torn poster of like Scream or Freddy vs. Jason or something.

Ok, I can't wait to see this series. I'm going to vote five now.

CGSstudios responds:

Well, it seems your as big as fan as me,I however, knew all of the above facts, so;
...the car WILL be in there, as will the ripped posters, and the bad edits, and possibly the continuity errors, as they all add to whats so great about the movies, dont worry,...
IM A HUGE FAN,
ALL THE LITTLE THINGS WILL BE THERE,
possibly even down to the blue square around the moon (Evil Dead one Dead heads)

I'll make it fit for the king,
Hail to the King baby...

Not bad.

This is really your first Flash? Wow, I'm impressed. You certainly have a lot of talent (or free time). The drawings were great and the animation was nearly flawless. The sound was decent; I know how hard it can be to do your own voice acting. I recommend buying a sound editing program or at least downloading a demo of one so you can at least vary the voices more easily. The only thing that really bothered me was the plot and how it was presented. Kid assassins...... why.....? Also too much of the plot was left to the imagination because of the intro. Still, fantastic job for your first try and I can't wait until the sequel.

Sikes responds:

THIS is the type of review I'm looking for. Thank you for being so specific. The plot's a bit wishy-washy, but only so I could guarantee a fight scene. Voice programs are really being a bitch for me to find. I hope you'll review my next flash too, I could use more like you.

You left out a bunch of stuff.

Coincidentally, I am currently also doing Mitosis in Biology class. Your profile says that you are 21. You must be lying because why would a college class teach something as simple as cellular mitosis and leave out things that are taught to 15-year olds? Ignoring the other organelles and focusing only on the nucleus, you forgot to include the gentic material condencing prior to mitosis, the nucleolous dissapearing and reappearing, the centrioles pulling the cromatids by their centromeres to the equator of the cell by spindle fibers during Metaphase, the actual separating of the chromatids during Anaphase, Cytokinesis, and the relaxing of the chromosomes as prophase restarts. And as for that cloning thing, what the fuck was that? What the fuck was up with that gun? Jesus Christ!

Susil responds:

Absolutely excellent observations!!! You know you're right, I'm not 21 or whatever I am in fact currently 14 as of December 14, 2002. I know there are other things in Mitosis but I left them out because this was meant to be a small project that would not include tons of detail. Settle down, and thanks for your response.

Very nice.

The animation was very nice. Mixture of Color and Sketch is very arty. Elfman soundtrack very appropriate. I kind of expected the ending after reading your comment. Besides, what true internet animator would make a sappy christmas cartoon in November? One thing, though. You keep saying there is an underlaying message. What is it? Is it just Santa=Satan or is it a metaphor for the demon that is commercialism, which some would argue is the true spirit of christmas? Look. I'm an idiot. Explain to the idiot.

thegreatmoleman responds:

It's meant to represent the commercialism of christmas. The Santa/demon character is representitive of the big companies who take all your money in the holiday time.

It basically means 'everything is not always as it seems' but with a more specific meaning.

How ironic

you tried to make a better ending to Rou Bo, one of the best and most original stick fighting movies I've ever see, and the ending to your ending sucked. You see them shoot around a while in an acceptable copy of Ed Skudder's style, and then I saw blood for like a half of a second, the blue guy very briefly appeared across the screen for some reason and that was it. Skudder's version was better. Sorry. Next time, try a higher framerate and some much better music and more diverse sounds.

Drake9 responds:

Um I did not steal this if you compare this to his you will see there is a diff and I give Ed full credit true this ends quick but this was my first time doing anything I do need to find a new sounds those were very repetitive.

I've actually made movies and I know how hard it is, so don't get pissed if you don't like my review.
